What this is

SlateYard is a gallery for sharing Slate truck builds and rating them. It is not affiliated with Slate Auto. This page describes the account and gallery data the site keeps.

Your account

Sign-in is Google only. When you sign in, SlateYard receives your Google account id, email address, name, and profile photo address. The email stays on your account. It is shown to you on your profile and is not posted on builds or comments.

Other people see the name and photo from Google, unless you save a display name or hide the photo. Each display name belongs to one account.

What you add

A build stores the title, summary, optional notes, share code, build type, and the configuration from the Slate share link, including the address of the truck render. SlateYard stores that image address. It does not keep a separate copy of the render file.

A rating stores your marks from 1 to 5 for Looks, whether you would build it, and Value. A comment stores the text, the time, your display name, and your photo unless you have hidden it.

What other people can see

Builds, comments, display names, and photos are public, except a photo you have chosen to hide. The gallery shows average ratings. Your own marks are visible to you. Other people do not get your individual scores, and your email is not part of the public gallery.

Cookies

A sign-in cookie keeps you signed in. A short-lived cookie named slateyard_next remembers the page to open after Google sign-in, then it is cleared. SlateYard does not use advertising cookies.

Who else handles this

Supabase stores the account and gallery data and runs Google sign-in. Vercel hosts the website. Google provides the sign-in screen and the name, email, and photo. When you submit a share link, SlateYard requests that configuration from Slate so it can show the render and the options.

SlateYard does not sell personal information and does not use it for advertising.

What you can change

On your profile you can set a display name and hide your photo. You can edit or delete your own comments. You can clear a rating by tapping the same mark again. Signing out ends the session in that browser.

There is no button yet to delete the whole account. The profile, ratings, and comments stay tied to the Google account you used to sign in.
